About Us
Formerly known as "Valley of The Sun Chapter", the Arizona Chapter of HFTP was chartered in 1991 and provides its members with valuable opportunities for professional and educational development in the vibrant state of Arizona. Retitled in 2019, HFTP Arizona Chapter continues to offer exceptional support to its members and community and is currently the only HFTP chapter
in the state.
Dedicated to the Future
HFTP Arizona Chapter recognizes that students represent the future of the industry and is dedicated to supporting hospitality curriculums throughout the state. In 2012, the chapter formed a partnership with Scottsdale Community College (SCC), officially committing to annual monetary support for the SCC hospitality curriculum scholarship program. Reaching goals for increased chapter funding and membership participation
will enable us to increase the amount of financial support available to these programs.
Community Involvement
HFTP Arizona Chapter proudly supports our local community and is always looking for ways to give back through volunteer participation in charitable events. Past events include Arizona Animal Welfare League's (AAWL) Walk to Save Animals and helping out at St.Mary's Food Bank.
Professional Development
HFTP Arizona Chapter is committed to providing continuing education to both seasoned hospitality professionals as well as those who are new to the industry. Members of HFTP receive discounts on local, regional, national, and global conferences offered throughout the year including the smaller, more intimate HFTP Annual Convention held in select US locations every fall.
